Dan-Gudban, falls under Bacomae districts and lies 40 KM northeast to Garowe. With a population of approximately 850 HHs, the main economic activity for Dan-Gudban is mainly Livestock rearing and livestock production. The community at Dan-Gudban has faced challenges including lack of school, lack of health centre and insufficient water for both animals and human consumption. Education support is not in place. With less humanitarian intervention, the community faces harsh living condition amalgamated by lack of social services, including a lack of primary schools for the children and health post for the community at large. Business at Dan-Gudboon is relatively active, but with links to Garowe, Bossao, Las'anod and Galkacyo, the community has been struggling to make ends meet. The community at Dan-Gudbon require a functioning Mother and Child Care (MUCH) facility, Primary schools and health posts. These social services will benefit children and especially expecting mothers who are in dire need of an MCH. The community believes that the construction of an MCH will prove quality care for mothers and babies and will provide delivery services. Currently, the community at Dan-Gudbon travel to Las'anod and Gorowe for MCH services. The Dialogue project for the resource mobilisation helped communities set up a resource mobilisation committee and opened bank accounts for each account. The Project will use the online Sokaab platform to track the transactions of the bank accounts and contributions from community members. Through Sokaab, members of the public will be able to access these financial transactions. Community contributions are expected to be provided voluntarily by the residents of Dan-Gudbon. The fundraising committee is requesting the community from Dan-Gudbon and the diaspora to contribute to the Construction an MCH and Education centers.
