BUILDING AL-RAHMA HEALTH CENTER PROJECT, BACAADWEYN Seven kilometer to the west of Beled Hawo is the agricultural village, Bacadweyn that has never had even a small health center to deal with the basic health care of the residents. Whenever there is a medical issue, the residents travel by foot to Beled Hawo under the blazing sun and through the scary forest with deadly animals. The Village residents narrate that many times people die on their way to find health center from the neighboring towns like Beledhawo. For the past 30 years , adults and children are experiencing malnourished in large number. Hence, set the stage for many diseases, especially in young children and mothers. Therefore, limited basic health care caused many people die from a small sickness that can rapidly escalate. The DIALOGUE project of DRC is currently helping the residents to organize themselves and do local fundraising for building a health center that provides basic health care service including maternal and child treatment. The DIALOGUE project is a resource mobilization initiative by DRC to contribute 50% of the total cost of community and public project to create trust between Somali people and their government in the management of their own development. The community adoringly appeals you to join them build a five room health post ( Wards for men, woman and children, maternity unit, Pharmacy, Doctor’s section and OTP unity) with a toilet and water source.
