In any country, more than half of the populations live in rural areas however; their health care is completely ignored. In Somalia, particularly the south-central, thousands of rural people are suffering long term illness and never received any kind of diagnoses and treatment except harmful traditional practices. One such area from health centers is Unaa of West Luuq. The residents tell you that the only health care they depend on is the traditional practices which were lately realized to have triggered the illness instead of healing them. Among the common diseases in this village includes recurrent diarrhea, cholera, measles and maternity illness leading deaths. “A small health composed of two rooms made up of brick with medicine can help us at least deal with basic health care like maternity.”argued by development committee member. Currently the DIALOGUE project is helping the community to fundraise for establishing a community health center where basic health needs are addressed instead of traveling long to find a basic medicine. The DIALOGUE project is a resource mobilization initiative by DRC that contributes 50% of the total cost of community and public project to create trust between Somali people and their government in the management of their own development. The community passionately appeals you to support this typical community project of alleviating community from health upheavals. Your donation will directly go to a community managed bank account.
