Building conference hall for Laamiley village Community halls or community centers are public location where members of a community tend to gather for group activities, social support, public information and other purposes. Such and similar activities are carried out under a tree or sometimes a plain ground in Laamiley village, 8km south of Luuq with a population close to 200 households. After a long drought in which they lost most of their precious livestock, the community desperately needs together and share a lot for recovery. They have no option but to carry out their meetings under a tree that partially protect them from hot sun rays. However, cannot protect from the dusts and prevailing winds that disturb their focus while a pressing issue is being addressed. The DIALOGUE project is helping the village organize themselves to campaign for the establishment of the community hall. The DIALOGUE project is a resource mobilization initiative by DRC that contributes 50% of the total cost of community and public project to create trust between Somali people and their government in the management of their own development. The community passionately approaches you to support them to build the community conference facility to establish a permanent place for social support, public information and other awareness-raising activities.
