Harwaang village was formed in the year 1982, its situated 30km from the Garowe town. the estimated population living in this location are approximately 850 Household its one of the populated location surrounding in Garowe, However community leader agreed to form so-called area administration through there was the kind of administration,
Habwanag has small business places like shops canteens, food stories and restaurant assistance from Humanitarian Organizations that are equally shared by the residents. The locality economic depends on livestock herds and firewood and charcoal collection, the community living in this location has faced a couple of challenges including Lack of schools, health centers and water sources are not enough for both animals and human consumption.
The dialogue program for the resource mobilisation helped communities set up a resource mobilisation committee and opened bank accounts for each committee. The Project will use the online Sokaab platform to track the transactions of the bank accounts and contributions from community members. Through Sokaab, members of the public will be able to access these financial transactions. Community contributions are expected to be provided on a voluntary basis by the residents of Hadhwanaag. The fundraising committee are requesting the community from Hadhwanaag to contribute to district project where the community need primary and Secondary School to get education for their children.
